Welcome to CMG Health and Fitness!

My name is Chrissy. Thanks for visiting my blog! Little bit about me….I am a fitness specialist, personal trainer, and nutrition coach located in Boston, MA. After graduating from Ithaca College in 2012 with a degree in Clinical Exercise Science, I worked as a personal trainer in both private and public gyms, as a group exercise teacher, and as an exercise physiologist for corporate fitness companies. My certifications include: ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, Precision Nutrition Level 1, TRX Level 1, and Intrinsic Biomechanics Level 1. I currently work as a fitness specialist for a private company in South Boston. I also offer online coaching services in both exercise programming and nutrition programming. Shoot me an email if that’s something you’re interested in! christinegiorgetti@gmail.com

I am a competitive powerlifter and have competed seven times over the past three years. I was a ballet/modern/jazz dancer for 16 years before hanging up my pointe shoes and swapping barres for barbells. When I’m not in the gym, I love to be outside, going on adventures, walking around the city, relaxing on the beach with a good book, and shopping! I’m a big fan of anything pink and sparkly. I love Johnny Depp (that’s important), and I’m still waiting for my letter from Hogwarts.

Over the past five years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients. From the 9-year old boy in my KidFit class who called burpees ‘slurpees’; to the 98-year old woman in my class at a Senior Center who increased her single-leg balance time by 30 seconds; every single one of my clients has made an impact on my life. I love helping people improve their lives through fitness. There really is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone reach their goals, and knowing you  helped them get there.

I believe everyone has a fire within them, and some people just need a spark to get it started. I’ve seen first hand how exercise can change lives….now I want to help you change yours!

One more thing…I absolutely hate writing. I was never good at it. I majored in exercise science in college hoping I wouldn’t have to write a lot (I was wrong). This blog is not meant to be formal. And it won’t be. I want this to be an outlet for me, and for you. You probably won’t find any scientific posts on here. You will find posts about things I’m passionate about, training tips, nutrition info, and personal anecdotes. I will do my best with this, but I am always open for new ideas! So please, if there’s something you want me to write about, let me know!!
