Friday Faves: March 11

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend ahead! I know I am!

I had a pretty low-key week, as I wasn’t feeling great at the beginning of the week. I’m looking forward to a lot of R&R (and puppy cuddles) this weekend. Tim and I are going out to his hometown, Pittsfield, for the weekend!

The weather was absolutely perfect this week. I hope everyone got a chance to go outside on Wednesday and enjoy a rare 75 degree day in March!! Now let’s keep our fingers crossed that it stayed this nice! I’m soooo ready for spring!

Favorite New Food

I’m making a vow to try one new food per week. Starting this week 🙂 I saw a bag of tri-color carrots in the freezer at Whole Foods this week, and they looked so pretty I had to get them. I’ve never had purple or yellow carrots before, just normal orange ones. Spoiler: they don’t taste any different! Although the purple ones did turn everything in my containers purple!

I have a great recipe lined up for next week, so stay tuned for that! Was going to try it this week, then I got sick.

Favorite Exercise

Side-Lying Clam

Another great booty exercise. I actually do this one on my upper body days! Told you I do at least something for glutes every single day 😉

Favorite Activities

I had a very busy weekend last week! If you read last week’s Friday Faves, you know I was celebrating my birthday all weekend! Some of the highlights:

We went out to Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar in Copley Square for an awesome dinner of margs, tacos, and cotton candy! Seriously, that thing was huge! After that we went to Brahmin and Tim surprised me! I didn’t think he was going to come, since he was at the Celtics game that night. I had a great time celebrating with some of my closest friends 🙂

On Sunday, my sister made her Confirmation. We had a nice party after with pretty much my entire family. It was great to see everyone. Congratulations Catherine!

Currently Reading

I finished Lone Survivor this week. I really enjoyed it. I admit, I only wanted to read it because Tim and I watched the movie, but it ended up being a great read. If you’re at all interested in the Navy SEALs or Operation Redwing, I highly recommend it. Didn’t start anything new, trying to save all my books for next week when I get my wisdom teeth out!

Currently Netflixing

Charmed, still, although I barely had time for Netflix this week! Any recommendations for good shows to watch when you get your wisdom teeth out? Let me know! I’m looking for something light and funny, probably.

Favorite Random Moment

I noticed something familiar on the train this week…an ad for Vivitrol, a drug that is manufactured by the company my dad works for! I used to work summers at Alkermes when I was in college, and I was an employee when Vivitrol first got FDA approval. It’s pretty cool to see it available now! I got really excited and texted my whole family, except no one else seemed to care. LOL. Oh well! I thought it was awesome! And so random that I just happened to sit underneath it!

Favorite Bachelor Moment

The Women Tell All was this week and oh boy did the claws come out! First of all, Jami…BYE. And Amber, I think it’s time to retire from the Bachelor franchise.

I think my favorite moment was Olivia apologizing. She redeemed herself, I think. I’ve always been on #TeamOlivia. I thought she was unfairly targeted. The Bachelor is a competition, first and foremost. She treated it as such and everyone hated her. I do think she said some inappropriate things at times, but hearing her talk about how much backlash she’s received since being on the show was so sad. I feel sorry for people who spend their lives bullying strangers on the internet, I really do.

This Monday is the big finale! I’m kinda sad to see this season come to an end, because Ben was literally perfect. I’m excited to see who he picks and who the next Bachelorette will be! Fingers crossed for Caila!!!!

That’s all I’ve got for this week! I’m getting my wisdom teeth out next Thursday, so I will try my hardest to get next week’s Friday Faves out, but no promises! Have a great weekend everyone!!
