Happy Friday and Happy September!!!

I’m so sad summer is ending but that just means that my absolute favorite season is coming…fall!! I am totally a basic fall witch! 😛
It’s been awhile since I updated so buckle up! There has been a LOT going on since my last Faves post! Let’s get right to it!

Ok so I haven’t been doing much experimental cooking lately because I’ve been SO busy, but I have been changing up little things. Here are a few new things I’ve tried in the past few weeks that I’m LOVING:
- Asparagus seasoning with a little olive oil, himalyan pink sea salt, and pepper as my vegetable of choice for my meal preps
- Substituting pumpkin spice seasoning for cinnamon in my oatmeal-banana-chocolate chip pre-workout cookies
- I’m getting really into steak…I’ve never been a steak eater but I’ve had a few great ones recently and I think I like it now!
- Pumpkin spice tea with breakfast…yummm
Favorite Exercise
My TRX Tuesday exercise this week is a really good one! The TRX Assisted Sit-up helps you achieve maximum range of motion in the sit-up while still protecting your lower back and engaging the correct muscles. Typically, the biggest mistake I see in sit-ups is using momentum, which is easy to do without added support that you get from the TRX. Check out the video on my Facebook page, and try them out!

I’ve been busy you guys! Let’s start with two weeks ago, when I had a weekend full of bridal festivities for my girlfriend Jill. You may recognize Jill as one of my clients! She’s been killing it lately in the gym getting ready for her wedding. I haven’t seen her in person since March, and let me tell you, she looks AMAZING. I’m such a proud coach, friend, and bridesmaid!!
That weekend we celebrated her bridal shower and bachelorette party. It was such a good time! It was great to see everyone, celebrate Jill, see some sexy men dancing (we went to a Men in Motion strip show in Boston, LOL), and I finally got to meet two of the bridesmaids that I haven’t met before! All in all, it was a successful weekend and I am so excited for the wedding in October!
The Monday after that weekend I was off to the Cape for the entire week. It was my first EVER full week of vacation since I graduated college in 2012. It was so nice to be able to take a full week off to relax and hang out with my family. We did so much fun stuff, including a trip to Provincetown, climbing the Pilgrim Monument, shopping at the Wellfleet Flea Market, seeing the sunset at Race Point Beach, riding the waves at Marconi Beach, and obviously spending a lot of time just relaxing on the beach! I only worked out twice, and I didn’t pay any attention to my diet. It was glorious!

I started You Are A Badass during my vacation, but I don’t like it so far. I need some good book suggestions!!
While on the beach, I started listening to the podcast ‘Harry Potter and the Sacred Text’, which goes chapter by chapter starting with book one, reading Harry Potter as if it was a sacred text like the Bible or the Quran. It is sooooo interesting, and I strongly suggest it to any HP fans out there!
Currently Netflixing
I’m so deep into Scandal…I actually think I’m almost done! Watching a show on that on Netflix is so dangerous because every episode ends in a cliffhanger….and instead of waiting a week I can just click next! I stayed up till 1am totally by accident a few nights during my vacation because I could not stop watching!
I know Tim and I will be binging Narcos probably starting tonight! Season 2 just came out today and we are so excited!
And of course, the new Bachelor was announced this week and its…Nick Viall?!?! Ummmmm what?? I WANTED LUKE SO BAD! Of course I’ll still watch but I am getting so sick of Nick and his dumb face
This weekend I’m heading to the Cape again to close out summer with a bang! I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Labor Day Weekend! See you in 2 weeks!
