Favorite Recipe

If you follow me on instagram (@cahrissay if you don’t!), you know that I always talk about how I love cooking stuff in chicken broth. It’s my favorite way to prepare chicken, rice, and quinoa! It adds a whole new flavor to otherwise bland foods like rice and quinoa, and makes the chicken exxxxxtra juicy.

For chicken, I basically just boil the chicken in the broth. It’s simple and so easy. Just completely cover the chicken in broth, cover the pan, and let it boil for about 20 min. While you’re doing that you’re free to prep other foods!

For the rice and quinoa, just replace the water with broth and cook as usual. You can also do half water half broth, but you’ll get more flavor if you go full broth!

Be sure to buy sodium free and low-fat broth so you’re not adding any extra salt and fat!

Favorite Exercise

Banded clamshells for a niiiice booty burn. I started doing these at the end of my lower-body days this week. I only do 2 sets of 15, but that’s enough!

You can start without a band if you find the band makes them too hard. Progress to a light band first, and then heavier ones.

….nothing! I need book recommendations you guys!

Still working through Gilmore Girls! I’m on season three so almost halfway done. I’m pretty confident that I can finish before the new episodes come out

Favorite Activities

Halloween was 2 weeks ago and you should know by now that Halloween is my favorite holiday! I went to 2 parties over Halloweekend-Friday night was my BFF’s party and I dressed up as an 80s aerobics instructor #relatable. Saturday night I went to one of her co-workers parties where I dressed as the deer filter from Snapchat! Monday at work (actual Halloween), I dressed as a pumpkin! My gym is in an office building and literally no one else was dressed up, so I was glad that I was able to put a smile on people’s faces when they came into the gym!

Last weekend I ventured to Bryant University to see my cousin Angela dance at the football game. She’s on the dance team and it was her senior day. They had a small ceremony before the game where she walked out on the field with her parents, sister, and me. It was so fun to finally see her dance, which is something I’ve been dying to do for awhile! Can’t wait for my next visit!!

And this week I finally did the #bigchop…..I cut 10 inches of my hair to donate to Wigs 4 Kids! The haircut anxiety was REAL you guys. But my girl Steph (@hairbystephscissorhands on instagram) took care of me and made me look FAB! I am so in love with my new shorter, blonder, look! Check her out if you’re in the Boston area-she’s at Dellaria Salon in Kenmore Square!

November Challenge Update

Hopefully you saw on facebook that I added to the November challenge. In addition to trying out a gluten-free recipe, I am also accepting Movember participants! If you are growing your ‘mo for men’s health this month, send me pictures at the end of the month to be entered into a giveaway to win a free month of online coaching with me!

If you don’t want to grow a mustache or if you can’t (ladies), proof of donation to the Movember Foundation will also be accepted!
