Happy June everybody! Can you believe 2017 is basically half over?! This year is flying by.
This month was a whirlwind….so many changes happened and I can’t wait to tell you about them! Let’s get right to it!

This is a tie, between double kettlebell front squats and kettlebell overhead drop-step lunges. I read this article by Artemis Scantalides about the three accessory exercises she had done for squats. I knew I wanted to try them out, so I added those two into my program last month. They are so hard but I’m loving them! And it made me realize how weak I am with overhead stuff-I can only hold the 8kg bell over my head so far! This month, I’m going to switch out the lunges for the step-ups. I’m keeping the front squats in for at least another month! If you want a challenge and need to work on your squats, I recommend checking out the article and trying these exercises out for yourself!

What I’m Reading
Can you believe I’m still on the waitlist for 13 Reasons Why?! It’s been almost 2 months. In the meantime, I decided to start reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I saw the movie and have been meaning to start the book! I’m also on the wait list for Paula Hawkins’ new book, Into the Water. I loved Girl on the Train, so I’m hoping her new book will be just as good!
What I’m Watching
Tim and I started about 3 new shows at once and it’s hard to keep track! I started the new season of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and we also started The Keepers and the new season of Bloodline. On top of that, the new season of The Bachelorette finally started! Our brackets are locked in, and I’m already mad because I had DeMario going pretty far! So far I like Rachel though-she seems like the most down-to-earth and chill bachelorette there’s ever been!
What I’ve Been Up To
The Chruber Penthouse: The first weekend of May, I moved into mine an Tim’s new apartment in South Boston! Tim moved in 2 weeks before me, and I’m actually happy we staggered our move-ins because mine was a little crazy. I just had so much stuff! But we are mostly settled now. Still need to get a few furniture pieces but for the most part, it’s starting to feel like our home! This is the first time we’ve lived together and so far, I love it. It also helps that it takes me only 5 minutes to walk to work now! We call it the Chruber Penthouse because 1) Chrissy + Zuber = Chruber (we did not make this nickname up) and 2) it’s the top floor above an Australian meat pie shop, and it’s this like long and skinny apartment that feels like a penthouse! I’ve never seen a place like it, it’s pretty unique. Once we finally get the rest of our furniture, I’ll do a snapchat tour!
Memorial Day Weekend: Tim and I went down to the Cape for MDW this year. The weather wasn’t great, but we made the most of it! Saturday night, we celebrated my little sister’s 17th birthday with our family and friends. We went to her favorite restaurant, Moby Dick’s in Wellfleet. Sunday, we sat on the beach for as long as we could before we got too cold (it was chilly!). I also got to spend some time with Tim’s family which was nice!
Work, Work, Work, Work, Work: I officially started working at Boston University FitRec as a personal trainer! I’m working there part-time, only 2 days a week, but so far I really like it! It’s a great way for me to break out of the corporate fitness world a little bit, and do what I really am passionate about. There are also some big changes coming…nothing is official yet, so I’m not going to say, but hopefully soon I’ll be able to announce it!!!
